Alaska Gasline Project

A North Slope gas commercialization concept that includes a pipeline from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez, liquefaction and liquids extraction facilities in Valdez and a gas conditioning plant in Prudhoe Bay.

AGPA Pipeline
  • Gas Pipeline: Dense phase, buried 800-mile gas pipeline from Prudhoe Bay to tidewater at Valdez that will run parallel to the Trans-Alaska Oil Pipeline (TAPS).
  • Gas Conditioning Plant: Removes impurities and compresses and chills the gas to meet the specifications of the Gas Pipeline.
  • Liquefaction/Fractionation, Storage and Loading: An integrated liquefaction/fractionation facility in Valdez which will produce liquefied natural gas and extract the liquid petroleum gases; includes storage and vessel loading facilities
  • Spurline from Glennallen: Connects the Gas Pipeline to the Southcentral gas grid and ensures ready supply of affordable natural gas for in-State consumption.
